The Chief Kevin Kolbye Law Enforcement Leadership Award

The recipient must be a law enforcement leader such as a police officer, FBI Special Agent, Department of Homeland Security or other law enforcement agencies.

This award is given in honor of Chief Kevin Kolbye, who was a dedicated law enforcement officer who served his community for four decades. Throughout his impressive career, Chief Kevin Kolbye tirelessly advocated for collaboration between police and the retail loss prevention industry. His commitment to restorative justice programs is a testament to his belief in rehabilitation and community safety. Chief Kevin Kolbye will be remembered for his collaborative spirit and his unwavering dedication to serving the loss prevention community.

Nominations will be accepted between July 17, 2024, and August 22, 2024. The recipient will be announced at the LPRC IMPACT Conference in October 7-9, 2024.

The nominee must have demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities within the law enforcement and/or loss prevention community, exhibiting the ability to inspire, motivate, and guide others in the pursuit of preventing retail loss and crime.

The nominee should have a proven track record of fostering strong partnerships between law enforcement agencies and the Loss Prevention Research Council (LPRC), consistently working collaboratively to address common goals and challenges.

Professionalism and Dedication
The nominee should exemplify professionalism and dedication in their approach to combating retail loss and crime, consistently going above and beyond to ensure the safety and security of their community.

Contributions to Safety and Security
The nominee’s efforts should have resulted in tangible contributions to the safety and security of their community, demonstrating a clear impact on reducing incidents of retail loss and crime.

The nominee should embody the core values of integrity, courage, and service, consistently demonstrating these values in their actions and decisions.
