When to Submit Nominations

Nominations will be accepted between March 27,2025, and December 31, 2025. The recipient will be announced at the LPRC IMPACT Conference in March 2026.

We are proud to recognize Major Jaime Kurnick of the Gainesville Police Department as the inaugural recipient of the Chief Kevin Kolbye Law Enforcement Leadership Award. Throughout her over 20-year career, Major Kurnick has demonstrated exceptional leadership and integrity with a deep commitment to public safety. Kurnick’s range of experience includes detective work, covert operations, crime prevention, and officer training. Today, she actively shapes the future of law enforcement by leading key areas, including internal affairs, training and education, research and planning, and accreditation.

Major Kurnick represents the spirit of this award through her dedication to building strong, trusted partnerships between law enforcement and the retail sector. Her approach is grounded in honesty, service, and a clear focus on creating safer communities. As the first recipient of this honor, she sets a powerful example of leadership that uplifts both her department and those working to reduce retail crime nationwide.
